The Greek Community of Beirut, amongst other associations, was invited to join an online session on November the 30th held at the Parliament. The main focus was to discuss the presence of the Hellenic & Romanian Diaspora in the Levant area, their challenges, their aspirations and so on. The event was broadcasted live on the Greek National television.
The speakers that took part were:
Habib Saloume- President of the Greek Community in Syria
Panayotis Andriotis- President of the Greek Community in Lebanon
Rafael Elias Issa- President of the Levantine Greek Association in Sweden
Nagib Geachan- President of the Romaian Cultural Society Beirut
“The Special Committee identifies the problems of Greeks Abroad, seeks to preserve the Greek language and disseminate philhellenism. It aims to promote Greek culture especially among the new generations of Greeks abroad as well as national issues with the support and co-operation of Greeks Abroad”.
