European Elections: EU Citizens Living Abroad How to Vote June 6-9, 2024

On the upcoming European Elections 2024 taking place from 6 – 9 June, it’s often possible for European Union citizens who will be abroad during the elections to vote remotely.

The elections will be held in Greece on 9 June 2024. Those who turn 17 during the year of the elections have the right to vote. You can make use of the postal vote if you register within the deadline via the government’s online platform.

The European elections in Greece will be held on 9 June 2024, from 7.00 in the morning to 19.00 in the afternoon. Postal votes must be sent within the relevant deadline in order to be counted as valid.

Voters will elect 21 Members of the European Parliament in 2024, the same number as in the 2019 elections.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The entire voting process will be done in Greek.

You will need to connect with your Greek Passport details and either your ID details or your Electoral Number which can be found on your marital status certificate or online www.gov.gr

You must sign up via the Ministry of Interior’s online platform (in Greek) by 29 April 2024.

Your postal vote should be returned to Greece by June 8th otherwise it will not be valid.
