On March 25th, the Sursock Museum’s facade was symbolically lighted in the colours of the Greek flag for the 200 years’ anniversary of the Greek Revolution which coincided with the centenary of the Greek Community of Beirut.
This event was organized under the auspices of the Greek Embassy of Beirut. It included a visit to the premises of the sadly damaged museum and was followed by a brief tribute speech of H.E. the Ambassador Ms. Catherine Fountoulaki and Dr. Tarek Mitri, Chairman of the Board of the Sursock Museum.
