From Greece all the way to Douma on July 12-14, 2024

With plenty of “Kéfi” and a whole lot of Greek touch.

The Greek House opened its doors for three days on a row in the charming old souls of Douma, recently recognized by the UNWTO 2023 as one of the Best Villages Worldwide.

The festive mood was emanating in every corner of Douma’s streets with vibrant Greek music and classic Greek tunes beautifully carried out by Mrs. Katia Kaplani and accompanied by equally beautifully carried out folklore dances.

Greek movies, generously offered and supported by Cinematek, Greek Film Centre and Cinéphiles, filled out the cinema that opened its doors welcoming all visitors as well Ms. Carmen Labaki who directed a documentary series showing the presence of different countries in Lebanon and covering many facets: historical, cultural, economic, social, etc. The Greek diaspora found in Lebanon was tastefully portrayed in “Greece in Lebanon”, a project released a year ago supported by the Greek community of Beirut, in cooperation with the Embassy of Greece.

The Greek Community of Beirut actively worked with many sponsors who supported our event with their generous contribution:

Mastiha shots, pistachio delights, feta bites, gin for the daring and tsipouro, wine for the classics, Greek yogurt cookies, aromatic coffee paired with delicious caprice and digestive biscuits, were generously offered to all guests visiting the Greek House.

A warm thank you to all our sponsors we couldn’t have done it without your valuable contribution.
